SAHARAAProfile
SAHARAA creates immersive, high-energy performances that traverse Afrobeat, Rap, Baile Funk, and global Black diasporic sounds. Her sets are carefully crafted journeys, combining technical mastery, rhythmic precision, and dynamic flow with an intuitive understanding of the dance floor — transforming energy into celebration, connection, and release.
Rooted in a West African griot lineage — a tradition of storytellers, historians, and cultural custodians — she carries ancestral memory into contemporary club spaces, translating heritage into musical storytelling that resonates with both body and mind.
Her artistic journey began at Gaskessel Bern, a formative space that shaped her understanding of community-driven nightlife and performance. Since then, she has built a strong reputation across Switzerland, performing at respected venues and events including Kapitel Bollwerk (Bern), Dachstock (Bern), Grosse Halle's UQFF Festival, Kuppel Basel, Café Bar Mokka (Thun), ZW-Fourever (Zürich), and Queerfeministischer Raum (Bern).
She has also performed at major Swiss festivals, including Gurtenfestival, Openair Frauenfeld, and B-Sides Festival, further establishing her presence beyond the club circuit. SAHARAA is emerging as a distinctive force in the Swiss club scene — merging ancestral storytelling, genre-crossing skill, and rhythmic mastery into performances that bring both depth and exhilaration to every dance floor.
