What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time. The Okra Ecosystem uses cookies sparingly and transparently — we never use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Mandatory (always on)
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. No consent is required.
- okra_admin_session — admin login session (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict). Only set when an admin logs in. 7-day expiry.
- okra_admin_marker — JS-visible companion flag for admin UI (Secure, SameSite=Strict). Admin only.
- CF_Authorization / CF_AppSession — Cloudflare Access tokens for admin routes. Admin only.
- okra_consent — stores your cookie preference (Secure, SameSite=Lax). 1-year expiry.
Optional (requires consent)
These are loaded only after you accept. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Legal Basis
Under the Swiss revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and the Transparency and Public Participation in the Digital Society Act (TCA Art. 45c), as well as the EU ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)), consent is required before storing or accessing non-essential cookies. The FDPIC cookie guidelines (updated 22 January 2025) require that:
- Consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous.
- Rejecting optional cookies is as easy as accepting them.
- No pre-ticked boxes or "continued browsing = consent" assumptions.
- The consent cookie expires after no more than 12 months.
- A withdraw option is always available.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the panel above or by clearing theokra_consent cookie in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
